Maybe this has been asked and answered many times but....
Who DID send Joseph Wilson to Niger?

We know it wasn't his wife. She has denied it categorically.
Did the CIA send him? Or the state department?
Just WHO sent those orders?

1. Maybe its classified information?
Besides, what Joe Wilson found out turned out to be TRUE and that's the main thing.

No Niger-yellowcake connection and Bush lied about that.

2. But the wingnuts are concentrating on this issue
Not that it's relevant, but if this whole "Valerie Plame personally sent him to discredit the government" meme needs to be debunked.

6. it is not relevant
So the answer is: what does that have to do with the illegal disclosure of valerie plame's covert status?

The whole point of non-sequitor attacks is to run the argument down a rat-hole digression such that the original issue is forgotten. The response is always 'what does this have to do with the case at hand?'

The answer will be a new attack in a different direction.

5. Didn't Cheney make a bunch of in-person trips to the CIA
trying to gin up the data to lay the foundation for invading Iraq?

7. Wilson has never denied that the CIA sent him.
He has never said Cheney or the VP's office sent him. He has said that Cheney's office wanted to know if the Niger docs were authentic, and that's why the CIA was looking into it.
