Karl Rove, Whistleblower
July 13, 2005; Page A14

Democrats and most of the Beltway press corps are baying for Karl Rove's head over his role in exposing a case of CIA nepotism involving Joe Wilson and his wife, Valerie Plame. On the contrary, we'd say the White House political guru deserves a prize -- perhaps the next iteration of the "Truth-Telling" award that The Nation magazine bestowed upon Mr. Wilson before the Senate Intelligence Committee exposed him as a fraud.

2. Exactly how did they expose Wilson as a fraud?
That's wishful, magical thinking.

5. It's not shocking, coming from the mouthpiece of corporate totalitarianism
As I said elsewhere, I prefer the London Financial Times: like the Wall Street Journal, but for adults.

6. WSJ makes great toilet paper and bird cage liner
Rove is the liar. It looks like the WSJ has all the talking points of the Right.... The more they wail, the guiltier they look.

If you are ever out of toilet paper, this rag comes in handy.....

8. Pretty much par for this tired mouthpiece for the right.
I wonder if this kind of completely ass-backward thinking will end up losing subscribers. One can hope.

12. Get used to the new talking point
From the people who brought you "Vietnam vets are sissies and draft dodgers are heroes" we now have an encore of, "Traitors who undermine national security in wartime deserve a medal."

13. Congressman King also thinks Rove deserves medal.
Catapulting the propaganda: First, the douche bag Gibson on Fox, next Congressman King (Fascist-New York), and now the WSJ call for Rove to get a reward, not punishment.

Here's what I heard about King last night on Scarborough's Nazi Country show

16. Roberts should testify to Fitzgerald HOW his report concluded Wilson lied.
The Senate Intel report set up straw men questions....LYING IN THE QUESTIONS...to spin Wilson's words into lies.

nowhere does Wilson claim Cheney sent him
Plame was NOT in the meetings where it was decided to send Wilson to Africa. She ONLY recommended him as a good person to investigate.

Also, if Rove was to warn Cooper, then he had to have known WHO Wilsons wife was.

Their lack of logic and ability to lie is mindboggling.

18. The Wall Street Journal editorial board has always been
pro conservative republican. Had Karl Rove been a democrat, those aholes would have had a dozen editorials demanding that he resign and maybe a couple demanding he be prosecuted. Remember what they did to Vince Foster?

That article was unadulterated horse excrement :puke: :puke: :puke:. The only award Rove deserves is whatever his cellmate gives him for being his "b*tch".

21. Talking point proves guilt
the initial point of revealing Plame's was to discredit and smear Wilson.

The only rebuttal they have for leaking her name is to escalate the smear campgain against Wilson.
Why would they think this is a good strategy?
