3. I think Plame and her contacts already shined a llight on the WMD fraud ..

... and the WHIG saw her as a threat to expose their facade of lies. I'm betting she was a burr under their saddle -- identified as such when Cheney was making daily trips to Langley.

There's something kinda smelly about the easy inference that Joe Wilson was the sole target -- as a male -- and the "little woman" was only a way to get back at him. I think she was a target in her own right, as well. Her area of intelligence was WMD trafficking in North Africa and South Asia.

which is that, since the administration was fixing the facts, they also knew it was unlikely they would find weapons in Iraq. But they needed them there, so it's possible they tried to put them there, and they might have crossed paths with Plame or others in doing so.
