If that's the case then we have a majority on the court at the moment. Given all that's happened (and could happen) in the Plame affair I don't see why we shouldn't demand that at least one of the nominees be a full blooded Liberal Democrat. As long as the Bush administration is over a barrel and possibly facing impeachment why not?

not even close is he going to nominate a Liberal/Progressive as a sop to the Democrats.
He and they do not believe they are in political danger and therefore will not act like they are.
Nice thought but not a snow balls chance in a blast furnace.
