pictures speak louder than words:

somewhere along the line someone thought, hey, why not use saddam's palaces to hold our troops.what a brilliant idea!

Counterpunch had the excellent idea to start actually interviewing the different resistance groups in Iraq and publishing their words in english, i'm glad at least one news organisation trusts us.

1. Oh. This is heartbreaking. Halliburton, Bechtel, and the others...
Nice... hear those "special" corporate protectors get about 1,000.00 daily, while our guys are on the real frontlines w/the Iraqi people.

Pictures do tell it all. Thanks.

4. Good pictorial point.
Truly, maybe they do hate us for one specific freedom. Exercised most egregiously by the neocons and big business, this is the so-called freedom to walk into a new country and exploit the locals.

Our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, and the rest of our Constitutional Amendments are obviously unoffensive to them. Otherwise, we would've been attacked everytime something got ratified!

But the phrase "taking liberties" is befitting, when freedom becomes freedom to harm someone.

7. How typical
"We're there to establish democracy".

More like to maintain a caste system, with our people as the rulers and the brown-skins as the grunts. :eyes:

11. Watch Frontline's Private Warriors on PBS
They go through Camp Anaconda. There is a Pizza Hut, Subway, bowling alley, etc. They've got all sorts of nice luxuries including air conditioned buildings. Halliburton is making a killing while people are getting killed.

I was so pissed off I didn't even finish watching it.
