A Cooking Reality Show on PBS!!??? What's the point?
Jeezus. I turn to PBS hoping for something different than the usual crapola on commercial TV.

But Lo and Behold, what is PBS offering tonight? "Cooking Under Fire," which is a reality show about a cooking contest that is EXACTLY the same as all of the cookie cutter reality shows on the networks and cable channels. Complete with "human drama" and sappy background music.

Is this the "new" Republican free market face of public television? Or just the latest step in a long slide down?

In the few weeks they're not running pledge drives, they have to show this clone crap? Like this really makes me want to make any more contributions. Hell at least VH1 and Survivor are included in my cable bill.

PBS -- Pretty Bad Shit.

3. Union busting.

The point of reality TV is to cut production budgets and circumvent actor's guilds.

4. I notice NPR in the morning talking less & less politics.
Could be my creeping paranoia brought on by 41/2 years of bushco.

5. Let them know...
They have an 800-number and are happy to receive feedback.

It's especially important at this time, what with Tomlinson trying to "fair & balance" everything on PBS, in spite of the fact that the majority of the country trusts PBS and believes that it already IS non-biased.

6. Funny...I was just channel surfing myself...
and saw the same crap on PBS....okay, so now I'll sit here and read the news for a bit and annoy my wife. I'm recovering from surgery on my ACL, so beyond physical therapy...I'm getting antsy.
