If I remember correctly, Ritter did indeed show up somewhere to meet a cop who he thought was a 16-year old girl. He wasn't charged with anything, however.

If he did try to solicit sex, obviously it's a bad thing. It's also completely irrelevant to his stance on Iraq and does nothing to undermine his expertise as a weapons inspector.

There are Ritter defenders who argue he was "set up" in an overzealous child sex police trap. But that hasn't been proven, and with court records sealed and no one talking, we'll probably never know.

In any case, this should be irrelevant to his criticism against Chimp and his "Saddam has WMD" mantra. However, you'll never get a freeper to concede that.
