The Daily Show was great. Mr. Stewart showed how smart he really is

I love how these people hearken back to the old days when you could beat your wife in private, priests molested kids, and you could earn a decent living practicing back ally medicine.... I don't think Mr. Goldberg was ready for such a well constructed yet on the fly critique of his work and besides it was just going to be John Stewart. Well, Mr. Stewart wiped up that new (crappy) set with Mr. Goldberg....

5. The New Set

Is it just me or is the new set a bit too distracting? He looks like starship commander Jon Stewart rather than talk show host Jon Stewart?

....I think it's alright really, but the dead on camera angle for Jon's first segments is a little unsettling.....they need to bring back the couch too....more informal....

Where there was a genuine, interrogative interview the more informal table worked.

But when we start getting celebrities, that table is going to feel very wrong.

13. it seems that things have changed a bit since the new set

all this week jon has offered more serious discussion and counterpoint with his guests, who so far have all been authors.

i think they recognised the podium they have and have decided to use it in a more serious manner while at the same time cracking jokes.
