Rove will skate, but the damage to Bush has been done. People know the Bush Administration outed a CIA agent to punish someone who dared disagree publically with Bush.

The right still loves Rove and will spout their stupid talking points; the left still despises him, just as they did before; and the center? What center? And that's assumes that people actually care -- where did I read yesterday that a poll was done, and a majority of those interviewed didn't even know who Rove was?

That's the reality. Unless it proves that Bush himself was somehow involved in the underlying illegal conduct (the disclosure, or the forging of the yellowcake documents) or the subsequent cover-up, there won't be any political repercussions, and this whole imbroglio will be out of the headlines within a week, once Shrub announces his sup ct nominee and Rehnquist finally retires.

7. Other - the "obligatory firing" by Labor Day, but, KKKarl will not

really go anywhere. So what if he is not part of Bush's staff? He will still call the shots, no matter what.

This scandal will NOT get rid of Karl, it will only push him underground and into darker holes where you cannot ferret him out (no offense meant to ferrets)

10. Rove will still advise Capt Bunnypants from prison, whenever

we finally get to see him hauled off. He'll have email capability and still have an unofficial advisory position. And the sheeple won't think a thing about it.
