Anyone heard of an organization called "Democratic Grassroots"?

I got a telephone solicitation for a contribution from them last night. The guy made some statements which I did not think were factual, so I told him no dice for now.

Any opinions of them?

1. They called me a couple months ago asking for bucks.

I explained that I was on a tight fixed income budget, but would check out their website. All I found there was more solicitation for donations. I expect anyone interested in grassroots Democratic Party action would be welcomed at their local Dem HQ, and so would their money.

2. What bothered me..

... was the guy's claim that they were the "only organization" dedicated to building the party from the grass roots.

I said well, what about the DNC under Dean, he's already sent a lot mo money to key states for just that purpose.

The dude didn't seem to have much of an answer.
