Shrub and Rove walk side by side today...A Show of Support?
Edited on Thu Jul-14-05 12:44 PM by maddezmom
?
US President George W. Bush walks with his Deputy Chief of Staff and long time adviser Karl Rove(L) and Assistant to the President on Domestic Police Claude Allen(C) on the South Lawn of the White House towards Marine One, in Washington, DC.(AFP/Paul J. Richards)

But the president, who said Wednesday he would not support or condemn Rove during a criminal investigation into the matter, staged a show of support for the embattled architect of his political rise.

Bush, Rove and another adviser walked side by side from the Oval Office to the president's Marine One helicopter, breaking with the routine of aides keeping their distance to let the president have news cameras to himself.

1. Actually, they are just joined at the hip.
Fortunately for Rove, they do not share a liver.

3. Just birds of a feather flocking together. Rove is not "brilliant"
and we all know Bush is less cerebral than Alfred E. Neuman. What they both have in common is that they are students and practioners of the darker side of human nature. They know the truly darker side of the Americans who vote and of those who have the power and the money and those who have the power because of their money.

4. Side by side perhaps, but look closer at the video.
Their strides are about as out-of-synch as you can get. Talk about telling body language!

7. Of course their walking together was a show of support!!
How stupid does that idiot in charge think we are? Another show of support was yesterday when bushie said he wasn't going to make any comments while the investigation was going on. Did you all see who was sitting behind bushie in camera range when he said this? It was a very subtle show of support just as the walking together is also a subtle show of support. bush and rove are both giving everyone the finger.

9. Oh my God - they've got nothing! They are resorting to the bluff!
If they were playing rope-a-dope they'd be looking all faux serious and concerned.

11. This is Bush thumbing his nose at Dems and all decent people...
You rarely see Junior with Rove.

However, since this scandal broke--Rove travels with Bush and is seen in photo ops with him. Bush is attempting to say, "Look. I don't give a damn what you people think. We call the shots. Not you. The more you smear my man Karl, the more locked at the hip we will be. When will you people learn that I'm the dictator and that your opinions are meaningless."

That's what Junior is saying.

These Rove photo-ops are psy-ops--intended to make the other side feel as if there is nothing we can do.

Tough rocks, I say. Rove and Junior can release photos of themselves french kissing in a Walmart photo booth--for all I care.

We won't give up.

12. Of course it is!
It's a way of saying "I support Rove" without any messy quotes to deal with later.

The "sheeple" will believe, if Rove goes down, that George never said he supported him. And if Rove doesn't go down, George has all these nice pics to show the "sheeple" he didn't turn on his friend while he was under political attack from the evil, God-hating, pro-baby-murdering Democrats.

It's the way they do things.

16. The President of the United States supports treason, as evidenced by his
... show of support for Rove, a traitor to this country.
