WASHINGTON, July 14 /Christian Wire Service/ -- A group of pro-life young activists asked President Bush to fulfill his pledge that "...unborn children should be welcomed in life and protected in law." Eight were arrested in front of the White House on Thursday, July 14, shortly after 11:00 A.M..
Six Young pro-life young activists from Generation Life and Survivors, along with Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, and Michael McMonagle, an advisor for the youth group, Generation Life.
Brandi Swindell, 28-year-old National Director of Generation Life, comments, "We are here with a number of people from the post-Roe generation to peacefully pray in front of the White House. We are counting on President Bush to nominate one or maybe two Justices who will restore legal protection to the unborn. It is a providential time in history. Who knows if perhaps the President was born for a time such as this. If the President fails us in this one area, it may very well be the greatest defeat the pro-life movement has ever experienced."
