edit to add - Larry Johnson is supposed to be on Ed Schultz next hour also. Hopefully, not at exactly the same time.

5. I hope someone will post the video because it was rather information |
|
intensive.
Here is what I've got:
He did great. I'm glad Wolf let him respond to the specific list of smears the GOP has put out as talking points.
For the cube rats, Wolf said he had a new Talking Points memo put out by the RNC (I can't remember the exact name) that is the top 10 "lies" by Joe Wilson. Here are some of the top 10 with Wilson's response.
1. Dick Cheney asked Wilson to go - Joe Wilson responded that he was briefed that the VP had asked about the Niger claims to the CIA and in response the CIA decided to send someone to check it out. That is what JW has always said.
2. Valerie Wilson suggested her husband for the job - he denied it and said the Senate Intelligence Committee staff didn't call the CIA and ask them so their report was incomplete.
They went to a commercial and when they came back Wolf just asked questions.
The Rove frog marched out of the WH comment by JW - Wilson said his wife told him he was a little over the top on that one. He said he knew Rove was pushing the story because Chris Matthews called him after he got off the phone with Rove and told JW that JW's "wife is fair game".
Wilson said he doesn't know if Rove committed a crime. Fitzgerald will determine that.
Wolf asked him to respond to claims that he is a political hack - He said he reserves the right to participate in our Democracy just like all other citizens. He was an ambassador under Poppy Bush. He went on the trip to Niger at the request of the Government. He read a letter he received from Poppy Bush that was written 8 months after his trip to Niger and 8 months before his wife was outed.
Wolf asked him to respond to claims that he is using the controversy for his own gain. He said his wife was not a clandestine officer at the time of the Vanity Fair article. He doesn't have to just sit back and be slimed and be quiet and take it.
Wilson said the Special Counsel will have the last word.
Wolf asked him if he would apologize to Rove if Rove isn't indicted. Wilson said there were two things that happened that we know were wrong. One was the sixteen words in the State of the Union that were wrong. The other was his wife's identity being compromised. Wilson said that he isn't responsible for either of those two things and he won't apologize.

4. Rove memes are blowing up! |
|
This is the most I've seen the media hold Bush accountable for his tricks!
Too bad it took one of their own to be locked up to make it happen.
