1. You left out the part about his PNAC puppet masters telling him
to. The vote for "sitting in the middle and controling the oil and world" comes close though.

3. I said oil but I think it really is
money $$$$ I think he knew the contracts would go to Cheneys old business and he has his hands in oil. I have firmly believed from the beggining that somehow when this term is up and no one is looking both him and Cheney will become billionares.

6. World domination and ongoing no-bid defense & reconstruction.
War is a racket and the Bush crime family knows that only too well.

7. Regional (and Global) Hegemony
Edited on Thu Jul-14-05 04:37 PM by TahitiNut
The PNAC-inspired strategy, based on an insatiable appetite for power and profit, of global domination necessitated both Afghanistan and Iraq invasion and occupation in order to assure a militaristic control of a strategically critical region of the world.

I must take note of the "PNAC-lite" invasion of Iraq in 1991, done by wrong-footing Saddam when he asked April Glaspie what position the US would have if he attempted to re-acquire Kuwait as Iraqi territory. (Iraq has always regarded Kuwait the same way China regards Taiwan. Saddam's move was foreseeable.) Remember the fraudulent (Chalabi-sponsored) testimony before Congress regarding the babies being removed from incubators being pillaged by Iraqi troops? That's the exact same kind of DIS-intel that the current regime has spawned in abundance.

This kind of falsified 'intelligence' isn't new. The PNAC/neocon/Chalabi folks have been sowing it for a loooong time. Is it any surprise? GHWB, former director of the CIA, has had a long time to nurture the seeds he sowed inside the CIA. Similar fifth column operations exist in the compartmentalized intelligence agencies of Italy, Australia, and Great Britain -- the cOILition of the swilling.

8. None of the above

You've got it wrong, I think. The paramount characteristic of this President has all along been an overwhelming concern with being elected. Knowing that he had been handed the White House the first time around, his strategy from the start was to win (re)election by becoming a wartime executive -- hence the need to start a war. You have to remember, it's ***ALL*** about his needs.
How many people die is irrelevant, as long as he gets what he wants. Like Genghis Khan.

11. But what happens when he attacks Iran before 2008?
Bush is constitutionally prohibited from serving another term as POTUS and Dick Cheney very well could be deceased.

How will Bush's personal war lust transfer to the GOP Presidential candidate in 2008?

That happened to my mom's co-worker's sister. This woman and her husband went to Mexico. Outside their motel room, the lady noticed a strange-looking, small doggie. She fed it for a couple of nights and eventually she let the dog sleep in the room with them. She fell in love with this ugly, but adorable pooch and decided to take it home at the end of their vacation.

When she got back to the US, they had the dog for a few months and it started acting sort of funny. They took it to the vet, and left it there for observation overnight. At 1 AM the vet called them in a panic saying that it wasn't a dog, it was a RAT, and it had rabies!

True story.

Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 08:49 PM by ovidsen
NO mammal lives months with rabies. Weeks, at the most. Maybe. Not months.

Tales you hear from your mom via her co-worker via her sister are usually not true. Kind of like giant man eating sewer alligators.

I love it!

It would make a great movie.B-)

And in case you have forgotten, that puts Syriah on the to-do list.

23. Hubris. It was supposed to be a walk with Iraqis naming their kids Shrub.
Alas, somebody forgot to tell the Iraqis to be grateful. The "remnants of the Baath Party...er..the remnants of the Iraqi Army...er..Al queda...er...the failed insurgency...er..the foreign terrorists..keep on fighting back.

But, look, over there, just dimly, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel!!! Nope. Shucks, it seems to be the light penetrating the brains of the American people as the gas prices keep going up and the body bag concessions keep making a profit.

27. I think Bush thought he was Moses and would have the same impact
on the Middle East as many claim Reagan had on the former Soviet Union. He truly wanted to go down as the greatest president in the history of the US. He TRULY thought he was on a mission from GOD!

I think the Oil part is true as well but had more to do with Cheney than Bush. I think Bush is just an ignorant Jesus freak who got drunk with the power and thought he could be Moses. I truly believe that! Psychologists call it the Moses syndrome.
