When Might Indictments Come?

Presuming that the Grand Jury comes up with true indictments in the course of its investigation can someone tell me just how that actually happens and then what the next steps are? Are indictments issued piecemeal as the investigation reveals appropriate or is everything held for one great wad shooting blast at the end?

What happens next? I presume indictments would be handed over to the Justice Department for assignment to the normal staff of Federal Prosecutors or ????

What jurisdiction? What court? Time frames?

1. Weeks to months, I think. Don't expect anything soon

2. Federal jurisdiction

At whatever federal branch it is in Washington DC, I suppose. After indictments, I think they can file charges. I'm sure the investigation will be ongoing. I think Patrick Fitzgerald will handle the prosecution.

3. Do they have to wait until the Grand Jury ends in October?

Or, if Fitzgerald feels he now has adequate evidence, could he send down one or more indictments now? (Rubbing hands together, smacking lips, bwahahahahahahaha.)

Just sort of what might be expected when? I'm not much concerned about what laws may have been broken or who's name in on the top line, just wondering more about how the process works.

I think they are trying to tie everything together - Rove, Plame, Iraq, DSM, PNAC, etc etc.

This could take almost everyone down.
