1. Viet Nam had its share of horrors. What makes THIS war so pathetic is
that we didn't learn a darned thing the first time around. Used the same old playbook and a revamped version of the equipment.

2. Don't worry.... the prison industry will welcome them with arms, even
though they may be missing theirs. Crap, can it get any worse?? Can it?? I don't think so.

3. Sure it can get worse. Do we or should we allow it to happen?
What a question!

Peace

4. my father in law went to the local VA 2 days ago
and I will tell you someone who cares. Denzel Washington was there visiting the injured and he kept hearing about how they want family and loved ones to visit but the VA doesn't have enough housing/hotel room space. They have a Ronald McDonald type of house there but it's all full. The local hotels don't want to give rooms daily. This is in Tampa Florida by the way, where he is making a movie.

Without fanfare, or press.,..he stroked a check for 450,000 dollars and ask them to take care of it. He just wanted it call The Denzel House. He said it bothered them that these young people don't have family close to them.

True story.

6. we just had one return up here
he was severly injured. No eyesight, major head trauma.

what I really found pathetic about this situation is that the family/friends are holding a fundraiser for him. THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO THIS!!! Our government should be fully supporting the soldiers when they come home, their recovery should be paid for.

Just another example of our government supporting our troops.
