The GOP endorses Treason!
Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 06:14 AM by ck4829
Yesterday there was a bill which said, "To prohibit Federal employees who disclose classified information to persons not authorized to receive such information from holding a security clearance."

This is about Trust in the Government.

This is about National Security.

This is about the True Fight against Terrorism.

This is about Espionage.

This is about the safety of our Government.

This is about Treason.

So, who voted No on this Amendment?

The entire Republican Party.

1. The GOP also endorses torture...
This is hardly surprising.

2. In endorsing treason, in knowingly protecting traitors...
They have become the traitors.

Geesh... even McCain. Although I would not personally vote for him I at least admired his class in the past. It seems that now he too has become a "Stepford" Republican. What the heck is their "logic" (and I use the term VERY lightly here) for voting against this type of protection of America's security?

Sadly from what I'm seeing from the Republican politicians, at least on a national level, there's nothing "Grand" about the way the Republican Party has gone. Somehow I seriously doubt that this is what their founding fathers had in mind.

This may sound odd but in a way the Republican party's downward spiral into the muck and stench saddens me. It's like watching an old acquaintance that you could disagree with and still at least be friendly with turn bitter and nasty and then wither and die.
