on cspan i hear right wing christian zealots calling in to suggest that the christian faith is under attack and the crusades must be exhumed and modernized and the seeds of armageddon must be sowed.

i actually hear them calling for a christian war on islam, literally, no more pretense about oil or democracy but out and out war on the heathen others, over there.

'turn the whole damn middle east into glass', 'nuke mecca', and of course, 'invade and convert the godless heathen to christianity'. they really believe this shit, and our religious maniacs are ready to take on the other religious maniacs.

and the dumbasses think that all terrorists are muslims now. they forget utterly about little timmy mc veigh next door. a tiny handful of christians who aren't really christians fighting a tiny handful of muslims who arent' muslims. two zealot factions, dragging us all down into hell with them.

9. I have a fundie uncle who believes...

that all muslims are evil, period, no exceptions. This coming from someone who I once viewed as like a second father. Needless to say, I don't speak to him unless I see him at a family function, and then pretty much only to acknowledge that he's there. It's sad, but I simply will not tolerate that kind of hatred.
