did rove lie to bush?
supposedly bush said he'd like to know who did it so he could fire the leaker, like he promised.

if bush did ANY digging whatsoever, he would have had to at least ask rove. so, did bush ask rove, or did bush LIE to us?

did rove tell bush, or did rove deny it, and therefore LIE to bush?

if rove did tell bush, then shrub LIED to us when he said he would fire the leaker.

anyway you cut it, there's a whole lotta lying going on in the white house.

2. no, Bush knew and authorized.

You all forget that Bush thought Lee Atwater was awesome too!

Wilson had to pay for getting in the way of their campaign to "fix the intelligence."

4. of course bush lied to us. he always does.
rove and bush are joined at the brain.

if any of the outrages actually did outrage furious george, the torture, the wholesale corruption and robbery, the war profiteering, the law breaking, 9/11, Osama...

If they actually outraged him he would have done something about them. Instead he has followed his agenda to plunder and control.

5. Yesterday's picture
of Bush and Rove yucking it up together really bothered me....it made me think "the fix is in and they know it". It's very disturbing.

It just reinforces my belief that the two of them are in it together up to their eyeballs.

14. oh, it bothered me too, till i thought
about my youngest son, who, when he knows he's done 'wrong'- and is going to 'get caught' in a lie, or have to 'face the music'-

He smiles, and no matter how hard he tries to stop it, he can't- it's kind of like the laughter that comes at funerals??-(ever had that experience?) sort of a venting kind of thing-...or for Bush and Rove, it may be they still think that in their 'arrested development' they can 'joke' or 'fake' their way out of RESPONSIBILITY- that 'buzz word' that Bush 'uses' so much but never actually does???-

They struck me as adolecent boys- trying to joke each other 'through'- the doo-doo they've tracked all over this world- or are living in a world, where they actually believe they can do ANYTHING and no one can 'stop' them- may that never prove true-

and may they smile at each other from behind bars. Steel ones that is-

6. If chimp knew for two years that
Rove was involved and covered it up, that's obstruction of justice. The question ought to be, "What did the President know and when did he know it?"

Nixon was brought down not by the burglary in the Watergate building but by participating in the cover up.

And outing a CIA agent is far more serious than the Watergate break-in. I'm guardedly optimistic that this is the beginning of the end of the BFEE in the WH.

11. what about papa bush?
He's still been meeting with the CIA regularly, and some think what's going on here is that he's dealing with Junior himself.

7. "whole lotta lying going on in the white house"? Understatement.
Someone should erect a sign: "Liar's Club - Truth Not Welcome"

8. Nah -- lying to Bush WOULD get him fired.
Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 08:38 AM by American in Asia
Lying to us is peachy-keen, though, and so is outing a CIA operative, just so long as it's to serve his lord and master.

Continuing to lie to protect Bush or Cheney - that's personal loyalty that will get him Bush's "full confidence".

So yeah - you make a point I'd like to see the wingnuts answer -- is Bush a wuss who got lied to and doesn't care? Or did he know EXACTLY who the leaker was all along?

9. Do you think they've EVER told junior the truth?
Watch "Silver City" sometime, it's the unauthorized biography of Dumbya. They never tell the mutton-head anything of importance, that way he's easier to control.

12. this scandal may go up further
I think Cheney is quite possibly involved. I'd be surprised if Bush was, but it's possible.

Shrub is such a puppet. Rove and Cheney probably think the less he knows the less F***ups there will be. I hope Cheney is outed soon. I bet he and Rove were the masterminds.

16. I don't know but I think one or both of them lied to Scotty
Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 05:02 PM by ginnyinWI
I see him as one of Rove's victims. Knife sticking in his back. He can't do his job if he must knowingly lie. So don't tell him. Now the truth has made a liar out of him. But this is a good thing if it gets the press mad enough to follow this back to the source.

another provocative question: Who forged those documents about the yellowcake?
