The only person on this earth that knows what is going on is Patrick Fitzgerald (sp?) and he is the only one who is not saying a single word about any of it.

Maybe it would be best if we did the same rather than look like a bunch of Babbling Baboons when the truth comes out.

That doesn't mean to quit combating spin. When inaccuracies are spouted as the gosphel they sould be corrected, immediately.

Whatever the truth is, one thing's for sure: we don't know all the story yet. My instinct is that there is serious, but maybe not fatal, repug damage in this, and there's a good chance to take those 'pugs down a notch. There's also a reasonable chance there IS a torpedo here, and the SS Rove is headed for Davy Jones' locker. However, if we keep running like wildmen with every rumor or implication, we're risking an unexpected turn in the facts, and a public perception that this all was just partisan bitchmongering that doesn't mean much. Let's not blow this by letting emotion rather than reason dictate our strategy.

Wilson is as shaky as Robert Downey Jr. after three days away from his stash. The man's ego is offensive. (Raise your hand if you'd like to spend a weekend with this dude.) We need to listen to what Wilson says, sure, but we rely on him at our peril. Let's focus on the Rove-journalist interactions. That's where the red meat is.

Meanwhile, let's keep zapping away with the spin-extinguishers.

You know, your post hit me like a ton of bricks. You're absolutely right. This is a discussion board and we should spout off with every thought we come up with. Really. What was I thinking.

Well, actually I know what I was thinking. Our discussions are watched closely by others. We have our enemy's and they will pounce on anything we surmise which turns out to be inaccurate as further evidence of the hate mongering which is our lot if life. It is offering up ammunition for future arguments against us that causes hesitation in me.

But you're right of course. We should have discussions and examine facts together and be thankful for the many good minds here who help us understand our political surroundings.

Is that the consequence of the action that exposed the CIA agent made it a treasonous act.

We don't know exactly who created the action: Fitz is on track to find out just who it was. But we can surmise that the action came from the highest levels of the White House, and a cover-up is taking place.

Remember, it was the cover-up of the Watergate break-in that took down Nixon.

This story has nothing to do about justice at this point. Fitzgerald is the next act in this show. Right now, it's the framing of this scandal and that's what you're seeing. Don't like it, turn it off, that's the only way you're going to escape it.

So WE sound like babbling baboons but the shrill right wingers who are sliming Joe Wilson aren't? So we should just sit back when such a great opportunity to damage this regime exists (that will slow down its regressive agenda) and pretend there's nothing going on? We shouldn't talk about UNDENIABLE evidence that lies by this regime have been committed...and we've got some pretty solid goods that this regime compromised national security for their own political gains. Ya think the Repugnicans would sit silent? If so, I've got a bridge in quicksand you might be interested in buying.

Yes, Fitzgerald is the only one who knows what's going on...and that's the delight here. Democrats have no dog in this fight...all we can do is throw all the lies back at the Repugnicans and now make them accountable...and when they try to distort and spin their way out of this, we call them on it every step of the way.

I have a lot of confidence this is not the end of this story, but the beginning...we'll soon see who the real baboons are.
