Novak didn't only out Plame, he outted her front company.
In October of 2003, Robert Novak trying to smear Valerie Plame even more, actually exposed the CIA front company she was working for.

The Wilsons for Gore
Robert Novak (archive)

October 4, 2003

.......snip.......
In making her April 22, 1999, contribution, Valerie E. Wilson identified herself as an "analyst" with "Brewster-Jennings & Associates." No such firm is listed anywhere, but the late Brewster Jennings was president of Socony-Vacuum oil company a half-century ago. Any CIA employee working under "non-official cover" always is listed with a real firm, but never an imaginary one

6. Front names
Always watch our for, e.g., "Mulberry Optics" or "Mulberry Cameras" -- Mulberry is the English translation of the Japanese word "Kwanon"

What is "Kwanon"? Dr. Kwanon was the Japanese optometrist-optician who founded "Kwanon Optical" as an eyeglass business -- we know it as Canon Cameras.

4. Robert Novak is just plain dumb
You can set up a corporation for under $100. by filing with the Secretary of State in, for example, Delaware or Nevada, and getting an Employer ID from the IRS (that's free) -- appoint a "corporation service" in Vegas or Wilmington for "acceptance of service" and get a PO Box somewhere (under $140/year) -- and if you really want to go high tech in cyberspace - get a bull crap web page and e-mail address for under $300/year.

Mission to Niger
By Robert Novak

The CIA's decision to send retired diplomat Joseph C. Wilson to Africa in February 2002 to investigate possible Iraqi purchases of uranium was made routinely at a low level without Director George Tenet's knowledge. Remarkably, this produced a political firestorm that has not yet subsided . . . .

Wilson never worked for the CIA, but his wife, Valerie Plame, is an Agency operative on weapons of mass destruction. Two senior administration officials told me Wilson's wife suggested sending him to Niger to investigate the Italian report. The CIA says its counter-proliferation officials selected Wilson and asked his wife to contact him. "I will not answer any question about my wife," Wilson told me.

Novak makes no mention of Brewster Jennings and Associates in this column.

12. Thank you Walt Starr
I keep waiting for everyone to catch up on this and it is so frustrating. It's not the IIPA it is espionage. Releasing the classified info that Wilson's wife suggested him is the crime that they've already admitted. Those indictments can't come fast enough.

The Wilsons for Gore
By Robert Novak

On the same day in 1999 that retired diplomat Joseph Wilson was returned $1,000 of $2,000 he contributed to Democratic presidential candidate Al Gore a month earlier because it exceeded the federal limit, his CIA-employee wife gave $1,000 to Gore using a fictitious identification for herself.

In making her April 22, 1999, contribution, Valerie E. Wilson identified herself as an "analyst" with "Brewster-Jennings & Associates." No such firm is listed anywhere, but the late Brewster Jennings was president of Socony-Vacuum oil company a half-century ago. Any CIA employee working under "non-official cover" always is listed with a real firm, but never an imaginary one.

This piece in The Boston Globe shows that Brewster Jennings wasn't much of a cover.
