Listening to Al Franken now on AAR - He thinks Bolton may be leaker.

And speculates that the intercepts Bolton requested were on Valerie Wilson.

Would ask Scott McClellan: I understand on-going investigation and why you can't comment on Rove. But, is John Bolton involved in the on-going investigation? Can't comment? How can you appoint someone to the UN with this cloud of suspicion over him?

1. That's been my thought since I first head about those intercepts.
Plame's name is on that list.

Bolton is the original source of the leak.

3. It also explains why he has disappeared lately... No more UN appointment
stuff or anything that would keep his name in the news.

4. Yep, i have thought that a long time, just doesn't convey all
Just because Bolton was the first leaker (to the admin who didn't know), doesn't mean that the rest of the admin didn't conspire to leak Plame to Reporters later on.

5. That explains why Bolton may get the appointment during Sen. recess.
I haven't heard any more about the Democratic senators pressing for the information on Bolton they requested.

7. Were these the Documents the Democrats
wanted to see on the Bolton nomination? Have the Democratics known about this all along and tried to get these documents from the WH?

8. This is also what I was saying we shouldn't do the happy dance so
fast.

What if Rove is the distraction from someone else being the leaker. They can easily discredit us by putting him out there as the leaker after the fact to Cooper. He'll get off cuz it is after the fact and Bolton will squeeze through like liquid shit.

Further discrediting Dems raising issues in the future and bulletproofing the Admin against DSM allegations which is the key to the war.

9. POPCORN...GET YOUR POPCORN

Not a bad idea...let's get Captain Kangeroo's evil twin involved here. Word has it Bunnypants wants to recess appoint him (that's fine...makes Bolton a punching bag for next year and everyone at the UN will ignore him) and this could put the turd in that punchbowl.

Right now putting out as many names that can be absorbed by a public that's just starting to tune into this scandal is not a bad thing. I'll bet more people know about Rove this week than they did last week. As the light shines...we flush out the rats as they run from their holes.

Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 12:22 PM by peace frog
From his article today: http://antiwar.com/justin/

'...the probable trajectory of the ball as it makes its way to the goal goes something like this: "Bolton to Wurmser and Hannah, to Cheney (and/or Libby) to Rove."'

12. I feel like a dimwit - Bolton hadn't occurred to me.
It makes sense, though. Wouldn't that be a dream come true? A double perp walk?

14. Makes total sense.
Bolton is the link between DSM and Plame.

Man, the stuff Bolton must know about this administration.

By the way, we still aren't sure who forged the Niger letter.
