Then Bob Novak told the 2003 version of Karl Rove about Plame. Once Rove had this information, it was easy for him to use his time machine to go back in time to tell Novak.

14. Yes, the info was laundered through the press. When Cooper called

Libby, Cooper mentioned that he'd heard that Wilson's wife was CIA. Libby said he'd heard that too and that he heard it from the media.

Wilson's op ed appeared in the Times on July 6, 2003. Novak talks to Rove on July 8 per the NYT/WaPo articles? Rove talks to Cooper on July 11? Novak's column naming Plame is published on July 14.

Meanwhile Judy Miller is in the slammer because Fitzgerald wants her to testify to conversations she had "on or about" July 6, the day Wilson's NYT op ed appeared. He already knows the gov't official she spoke to (who reportedly came forward on his own, which likely means the person testified and dropped Miller's name in his own testimony). Fitzgerald wants Miller's testimony about the discussion.

And the language used in the story peddled to Cooper by Rove (and Novak to Wilson's friend he met in the street) mirrors information (some of it incorrect, like the claim Plame sent Wilson and/or authorized his Niger trip) that was contained in a classified State Dept report/file. A classified file that apparently was on board Air Force 1 during a trip to Africa during this time frame. http://dailykos.com/story/2005/7/13/141246/050 Fitzgerald/grand jury last year asked for materials, phone logs from AF1 during that trip:

It's clear that Libby was the second leaker.

That leads to Crashcart as the source. But the whole bunch were part of WHIG, which also included Condi, Hadley (her deputy), Hughes, and Matalin plus a couple of others. The source could have been Hadley, or it also could have been Condi.

This thing reeks of conspiracy. Furthermore, go back and reread all that the White House has said about this matter for the past two years. Now, knowing that it was Rove, Libby, and the people who were closest to the President, what can you conclude about the WH involvement since this went down? This points directly to organized obstruction of justice on a massive scale, involving everybody at the top tiers of the administration.

No wonder Fitzy is playing it cool. He knows that he has a red hot potato and he doesn't want to lose control of it.

Don't expect indictments soon. Fitz. wants to nail these people and is being very, very careful.
