The winner of the CA debate was... |
|
Gray Davis.
Everyone looked like an idiot. Why make a risky change now when no one seems up to the task of replacing him?
The next polls will show the recall losing PLUS imcumbents always pull closer near election day and the polls were close anyway.
Recall will lose and Bustamante will be the leading vote getter amongst the recall candidates further weakening the Republicans in California.

3. Repugs lose either way. |
|
They lose the recall.
Or they lose if Schwarzenegger is voted in by a minority. He will screw up the economy worse mainly because there isn't enough time for him to put his own plan into effect. If he even has one. Will the legislature work with him? And he won't have his own lt governor to support him. Right? He won't be able to appoint a replacement to Bustemante.

4. Not to mention the fact that he'd probably be facing a recall... |
|
of his own in short time. In fact, Bustamante hinted to this recently, if I am not mistaken.

5. I agree, conservatives were horrified |
|
by the entire slimefest that passed for a debate. I number among my clientele many arch conservatives ; they all expressed dismay at the whole affair and several remarked it would be better to vote no and take thier chances on a guy in 2006.
If anything, it pointed out the difference between politicians and entertainers.

|

despite the image to the contrary presented in national media. News director said to me "We can call Arnold "the frontrunner" because he leads the republican field" oh.
