Poll question: POLL: Who would be the best Bush in the docudrama of our meltdown?

Crispin Glover (creepy enough...almost)

Christian Bale (see American Psycho)

Sean Penn (does a good angry pissant)

Steve Carell (see his work in Anchorman. Any guy who can convincingly deliver the line, "I pooped a hammer," can play Bush)

Will Ferrell (already plays Bush, does a good frat boy stupid)

Samuel L. Jackson (doesn't look like Bush, but did a great job playing a crack addict in Jungle Fever)

Bonzo (may be dead, but still more presidential than real Bush)

1. I pick Will.
I saw a guy in a movie that would make the perfect
Kerry. Didn't get his name but the movie was called
"Stealing Sinatra".

in "The Contender." I wouldn't want him to tarnish his image.

7. I like the look, but he's too smart and manly
It has to be someone stupid who you can look at and think, "I could kick that prick's ass."

5. You forgot the guy who impersonates Bush on Jay Leno.
Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 05:16 PM by Verve
He is so realistic it's scary! And of course he's funny. Leno interviewed his "Bush" once and asked him awhile ago about the problems with Liberia. His Bush said something to the effect that he understands Liberians deeply. In fact, his wife used to be one. He had one word for them-SHHHHHH. It was quite funny!

I don't think he's "bush" material. It needs to be a wimpy-looking guy who can stuff his crotch and still look like he ain't got nuttin'.

26. Tim Bottoms played him on "That's My Bush" AND 9/11 propaganda movie
I couldn't watch all of it, but the Pet Goat scene was great. They made it look like he was being cool under fire.

The whole thing was kind of like that SNL skit on Reagan with Phil Hartman. In public, Reagan is a meandering old fart, but he goes behind the scenes and becomes the shark directing Iran-Contra and dirty tricks.

That 9/11 movie made Bush look he had an IQ above room temperature.

He can be alternately dumb and creepy, such as his performance as the Riddler.

Ned Beatty will play Karl Rove, of course.

38. Christian Bale without a question
He'd make the best Bush actor in terms of persona and looks (he resembles a younger Shrub). If you see Bale's character in Shaft, you'd nary have a doubt of how tailormade a future movie script about Bush is for Christian Bale.
