Media told Rove of agent?
That is what the head line on http://www.msn.com reads

But when you open the story you get:
Source: Rove says reporters told him of Plame
Bush aide reportedly testifies that he learned agent’s name from press
<snip>
The person, who works in the legal profession and spoke only on condition of anonymity because of grand jury secrecy, told The Associated Press that Rove testified last year that he remembers specifically being told by columnist Robert Novak that Valerie Plame, the wife of a harsh Iraq war critic, worked for the CIA.

Rove testified that Novak originally called him the Tuesday before Plame’s identity was revealed in July 2003 to discuss another story.

Not at all what the headline on the home page indicated.

2. My money's on NY Times employee Judith Miller...

And she got Plame's name from...DIck Cheney?

Miller is cozy with the administration, writes positive stories and went to jail to cover up her source.

Just a hunch

3. if there is any truth to this (ROVE lawyer) leaked nonsense,
then I speculate Rove told Miller who told Novak who told Rove.

Rove got it from White House Iraq Group, or from snooping in Colin Powell's briefcase.

4. Randi Rhodes said that if this were true, then Rove still shouldn't
have indicated he knew about Plame, he was still pushing the info, instead of saying to Novak that he had "no comment."

I'm praying that Lawrence O'Donnell, on Dobbs tonight, has the key to this thing: that if it weren't a serious matter, it wouldn't have gotten past the 1st CIA witness' testimoney and that the whole thing was described as being a "plot against Joe Wilson."

A plot. A conspiracy. Fingers crossed.

5. Media called Rove for confirmation
Rove happily blew agent's cover for payback points.

6. One could ask who originally
asked these media folks to do an expose' on Wilson's wife? Who put the bug in their ears? Libbey, Cheney, someone in the WHIG?

Personally, I think the only thing that surprised Rove is that her cover name was Plame and not Wilson. Just my .02
