Somebody clear this up for me, please: is Rove off the hook now?
The media reports I'm seeing are saying that Rove was being a good samaritan and warning Cooper about Wilson's claims. What gives?

You, me, the media, or whomever are only talking on the outside now.

10. You are what I call an optimist
We live in an optimist-reducing age.
If Rove walks, how will you feel?
Bush beats us every time... every single damn time.
He will beat us this time, too.

17. Hope you are right and I am wrong.
We have been saying 'the tide is turning' since Energy Gate.
I quit saying that somewhere between Halliburton Gate and
DSM Gate.

13. This should be a slam dunk. Ain't gonna be.
Rove deserves the death penalty, no doubt.
But they have all
the money, all the lawyers,
all the power.
They will tie this up forever.

26. Lets see what Judge Fitzgerald says.
Its not helping the Whitehouse with their domestic agenda having to fend off what is becoming a mounting public relations/image/credibility problem either.

Some one in the Chimp admin outed an undercover CIA agent.

9. No, he won't waltz.
He may crawl away, but he won't waltz.

Fitzgerald doesn't seem to be a man swayed by right-wing spin. He's totally methodical...he's considering hitting Miller with contempt charges, which will hold her in jail beyond October.

11. It's a GOP talking point that makes no sense whatsoever. Wilson told
the truth, so how could Rove be the savior? Their mantra is that Rove is a whistleblower (??) and Dems are inconsistant because they loved the whistleblower in Watergate but hate THIS whistleblower....they forget that there was no whistleblowing going on, however. Bunch of sixth grade logic!

23. Wilson was the whistleblower - so we are consistent.
Wilson blew the whistle on the *co lies, that's why they went after him.

12. Not Until The Fitzgerald Sings...
Karl's not the target of this investigation, but he still remains a subject; meaning, yes, technically he's not the one whose being told he's under investigation, but he sure hasn't been given a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card yet.

The wingnuts are basing this game on what they think is all Fitzgerald is or can play with...the laws about outting an agent. There's strong indications this investigation is now focused on the cover-up of finding out who leaked Plame's name for the past two years and the reasons why they would be doing this. Far more important...far more damning.

Stay tuned...

if that's what you mean...;)

This is all RW Spin. And his lawyers are throwing out crap to try and obfuscate things. The GJ Investigation will not be affected...Rove has to try and keep the public under control though otherwise *'s political capital is nothing but monopoly money.
