Rovegate-Boltongate Link
Great article from Wayne Madsen Report;

http://www.waynemadsenreport.com/

July 16, 2005 -- There are indications that the leak of the Brewster Jennings & Associates counter-WMD operation also resulted in the exposure of allied intelligence NOCs and private business assets working for British and German intelligence agencies and who were assisting the CIA in its efforts to counter the flow of WMDs. The foreign agents worked for Britain's MI-6 (Secret Intelligence Service) and MI5 (Security Service) and the German Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND). The German counter-WMD operation concentrated on the smuggling of nuclear material from the former Soviet central Asian states. The British agents, using "trading company" fronts, had close contacts with assets in Iran, North Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Libya, Ukraine, China, India, Pakistan, and Russia.

3. Grossman wrote the memo....
"Grossman, Armitage, Powell, and Ford were all reportedly subjects of Bolton's request for National Security Agency (NSA) intercepts of communications. Bolton, who had declared war on INR, was working closely with Vice President Cheney's staff, including Chief of Staff Scooter Libby; Karl Rove; UN ambassador John Negroponte; the National Security Council; and the Pentagon neocon cell to hype and fix intelligence to justify the invasion of Iraq."

5. Did you see that part about the intercepts?
The fact that State's Intelligence and Research Bureau (INR) and Grossman were involved in the discussions about Niger and uranium are important in light of the revelations that UN ambassador nominee John Bolton, who was then Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security. Grossman, Armitage, Powell, and Ford were all reportedly subjects of Bolton's request for National Security Agency (NSA) intercepts of communications. Bolton, who had declared war on INR, was working closely with Vice President Cheney's staff, including Chief of Staff Scooter Libby; Karl Rove; UN ambassador John Negroponte; the National Security Council; and the Pentagon neocon cell to hype and fix intelligence to justify the invasion of Iraq. The Associated Press is also reporting today that on July 11, 2003, Rove sent an email to Deputy National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley discussing Rove's previous phone call to Time's Matt Cooper about Wilson and his wife. Rove, Hadley Libby, then-National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, and Press Secretary Ari Fleischer were all members of the White House Iraq Group, set up to craft propaganda justifying the war.

I told EVERYBODY that Bolton was involved in this mess! That's why the WH won't release those intercepts to Biden and Dodd!!!!!

7. I know this is going to sound stupid, but
can we assume Biden and Dood have already heard about this or seen this report?

Do you think it would pay to send them a copy of the link at least, just to be sure?

13. Makes we wish DU would go easy on all those Rove threads...they are
Edited on Sat Jul-16-05 10:28 PM by higher class
now a little behind the times. Not gone, not forgotten, but it is worthwhile to keep up with the latest stuff and not get stuck on Rove the way the MSMs are. It's obvious that Cheney is the key person in PNAC, the key person in the whouse, the key person in the corporate world that profits from war, the key person in the weapons world - and had the most to gain from a war on Iraq.

Giving attention to those who are and have been most passionate about and in need of manuevering a war is where it's at now. Rove is a handler, coach, tutor, generator, mastermind of dirty tricks.... but he also only takes orders, he doesn't give them.

14. I can't figure out Madsen.
Is he credible or not? This seems to be a divisive issue on DU and I don't want to start an argument on the subject, but I'd like to know how he gets his info.
