I may owe them an apology. I remember when they were running the ad to sell the anti-Michael Moore movie, FahrenHype...EXCLUSIVELY, I lambasted them with an email. EEK! I informed them that I would NEVER shop their site again. Now I feel bad, sort of....they shouldn't have been selling that movie AT ALL. IMCPO It's good to know they're BLUE! :bounce: yay!

4. People thought they were "Republican" because
I think they were the exclusive outlet to buy "Fahrenhype 9/11," which is still available at the site for $3. That must have been an amazing seller.

8. But they also have the cheapest price on Uncovered: The War on Iraq too!

Check dvdpricesearch.com to verify they are the cheapest...

Also, speaking of "red" businesses advertising on AAR, I heard Red Lobster advertising many times a couple of months ago on AAR. Red Lobster had been one of the businesses listed to boycott during the Rush Limbaugh ad boycott earlier too.

Depending on how cheap the ad rates are, some of these "red" businesses might figure it's good PR to shell out a few bucks to reach a target market of "libs" to keep them from boycotting them, even though they might put a lot of money into the Rethuglican campaigns where the money counts!

I'm a DVD addict too. I stopped shopping at Amazon after they were found to be more "red" and also took away their send to a friend discount program. One business I'd like to verify isn't "red" is deepdiscountdvd.com. With their recent 20% off coupon, already low prices to start with and no sales tax or shipping charges for most states, they've been my first choice on a lot of things.

But, Exxon has so much money to throw around, it's ridiculous...

11. Regardless of political leanings, they want to make money
Red money and blue money are both green.

Even though I'm personally blue, I'll take red money all day long.

12. That company aside, AAR runs TONS of ads that compromise their standards.
You're unlikely to hear anything critical of, say, Merck for example. Or Bristol-Meyers Squibb, or any number of other Republican-contributing corporations with abysmal track records and penchants for profits over people.

This one fact is part of the reason I very, very rarely tune into AAR (plus, for some reason it's the only site I've listened to that consistently has streaming problems).
