Anyone remember the Peace Dividend? How about the Terrorist Tax?
Everyone remember the 'Peace Dividend' - The reallocation of spending from military purposes to peacetime purposes, such as housing, education, and social projects.

We must start referring to the amounts being spent in Iraq and on every homeland security boondoggle as the "Terrorist Tax" and make sure that people know the repukes are the ones who are passing this tax onto us in the form of increased (and unsustainable) national debt.

Thoughts on the term?

1. Careful
The Republicans like this term. They like the idea of taxing the sheeple to impose more authoritarian controls on them. This is a tax they like and can justify to the sheeple and the sheeple will buy it.

Call it the "Bush War Tax" or the "Phantom WMD Tax" or the "Halliburton Tax".

2. I know, if we could convince the rest of the sheeple that it is a tax,
and you know how they hate the word tax....

3. People will pay
to be protected from terrorists, even if there is really not much being done with the funds.
Have you seen the 60 minutes segment on Homeland Security appropriations around the country,
what a pork barrel extraganza.

No, we need to frame it to reflect that we were lied to and deceived into war.

I propose we call it the "Betrayal Tax." Seems to sum it up nicely.
