Responding to editorial which said Rove deserved a "medal" for outing Plame:
Who cares if Wilson is the biggest liar on this side of the White House?
Rove sought to discredit him by outing his wife's identity to a member of the press, as an anonymous source.
If all the bullet points in your editorial about Wilson's lies and exaggerations are true, then Wilson's credibility should have been easy to call into question without resorting to such tactics.
Let's face it — Rove screwed up in a major way.
I don't think anyone would deny that Rove has made an excellent career out of exploiting his political opponents' mistakes.
Now he's getting a taste of his own medicine.

The White House has built its foundation on what it calls "moral values."
Yet, the administration will commit a felony in an attempt to silence a critic of their War on Terror policies.
I hope that Rove is tried, found guilty and pays the price for this — and for his other hateful political master plans.

I'm glad to hear that outing a covert CIA agent, and ultimately endangering people's lives, is not actually a crime — contrary to what the law says.
Rove appears to have compromised our national security in a desperate attempt to advance a lie.
That's close to treason.

If Rove was doing a public service — one that was not a crime — then why didn't he make his statements on the record?
But, when accusing and smearing the veracity and patriotism of Wilson, he had the guts to make his statement for all to know.
Rove intentionally leaked information. Whether that is a crime is irrelevant.
The real issue is that both Rove and President Bush's administration have consistently denied that he had any connection to the leak.

I was surprised to read your editorial, which attacks Wilson as a liar and praises Rove for doing everything right.
Regardless of whether Rove has technically committed a crime, he has leaked classified information — apparently for political purposes.
If not jailed, I suggest Rove quit his White House job and go fight with the brave soldiers in Iraq.
They are there largely due to his actions.

In this whole mess, Wilson was the only one telling the truth.
The lies and deceptions about the weapons of mass destruction have been exposed.
Rove used classified information to try to smear Wilson only because Wilson had the nerve to dissent and question based on his first-hand knowledge.
Who knew what the full consequences of blowing Valerie Plame's cover would be?

If Rove had the silver bullet to discredit Wilson, why didn't we see Rove on Fox News every night impeaching Wilson with his new CIA-wife theory?
Why did Rove opt to use the back channels instead?
And why has it taken Rove two years to come clean?
The answers speak volumes about his guilty conscience and his original intent.
