Reporter Says Cheney Aide Was a Source
Edited on Sun Jul-17-05 07:06 PM by KerryOn
Latest AP story - For give me if this has already been posted.

{snip}
WASHINGTON - The vice president's chief of staff, Lewis Libby, was a source along with the president's chief political adviser for a Time story that identified a CIA officer, the magazine reporter said Sunday, further countering White House claims that neither aide was involved in the leak.

{snip} - I Like the sound of this!!!:
The White House's assurance in 2003 that Rove was not involved in the leak of the CIA officer's identity "was a lie," said John Podesta, White House chief of staff in the Clinton administration. He said Rove's credibility "is in shreds."

ON Edit: They are gonig Down!

2. Tyrannical regimes are always capable of purges of top officers to protect
and consolidate their power. In fact, it is a signature of tyranny. So don't count the Bush Cartel as down, just because Rove and Libby may be found guilty of treason. The real president, Dick Cheney, is behind this, and is just the sort of conscienceless SOB to sacrifice ANYONE--even his closest aides--to stay in power. He still has his hand on legal and illegal nukes, and god knows what-all, and is running this government on behalf of private interests of a most nefarious and traitorous kind, with his nitwit Bush out front. It is going to take quite a lot of courage and will just to curtail his worst intentions and capabilities, let alone to oust him.

We citizens meanwhile have a job to do. The answer to the stink in Washington DC is restoring our right to vote, by throwing Bushite electronic voting machine companies--Diebold, ES&S and brethren--out of the election business NOW--or, at the least, achieving some measure of election transparency with paper ballot backups, no secret, proprietary programming code and strict auditing. The only place where we can get that done is in state/local jurisdictions, where the authority over election systems still resides, and where ordinary people still have some say. 4. get the word out
Just one TV show isn't enough, large numbers of people need to get informed, motivated, and doing something to protect the integrity of the election process. We need a lot of videocameras at the very least, and to get rid of the Diebold machines everywhere.

9. Your point is well worth bearing in mind
but Cheney cannot survive if the people REALLY want him out. Will the CIA go down with him? The military?
