Therapy Time for the Freepers: Libby's Dirty Too
Fear not Freepers. As you troll DU tonight and learn the awful truth about your false idols, enough of America remains for you to find the real path to patriotism. It starts right here at DU.

Reporter Says Cheney Aide Was a Source By PETE YOST, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON - The vice president's chief of staff, Lewis Libby, was a source along with the president's chief political adviser for a Time story that identified a CIA officer, the magazine reporter said Sunday, further countering White House claims that neither aide was involved in the leak.

In an effort to quell a chorus of calls to fire deputy White House chief of staff Karl Rove, Republicans said that Rove originally learned about Valerie Plame's identity from the news media. That exonerates Rove, the Republican Party chairman said, and Democrats should apologize.

But it is not clear that it was a journalist who first revealed the information to Rove.

9. Yeah, well the fact that some Dems have caved to apology demands
probably makes them think they can keep it up.

4. If the entire WH mooned Faux News in primetime...
the freeper faithful still couldn't figure out that their Dear Leader is a fraud, a liar and a corporate butt-kissing incompetant.

5. Overall weird mojo over in FReeperville -- some are catching on
Some are starting to realize that there is something very wrong, something of makes-watergate-look-like-a-minor-peccadillo-magnitude wrong.

Let's see if deluded ol' JimRob snaps out of his "we're at war against, oh who the hell cares, let Jaaaay-zus sort 'em out' mindset, finally puts two and two together, and realizes that the Executive Branch has sold the reality-based, they-were-right-after-all intelligence community down the river -- along with our national security.

Ten or twenty years from now, the politicization of intel is going to be seen as one of the most self-destructive episodes in our nation's history.

7. This just keeps getting better
With each name, the scandal spreads. From Karl to Scooter, to who knows where next. They are desperate, and they are sweating. Fitzgerald isn't saying where he's heading with all this, and that is the best thing we can hope for from him.

Dear Lurkers, your heroes have been exposed for what they are: treasonous, treacherous opportunists and scoundrels. And no amount of tapdancing and parsing will keep the truth from coming out.

Suffer with them as it does.

8. There was a memo written up on Wilson & Plame on June 10th or
so. That memo apparently just sat on someone's desk and never made it to the WH. Funny how a memo could just sit there.

Then Armitage ordered it up 3 weeks later.
