Will America Realize The Mistake it Made in the 2004 Election?
I truly believe one reason Bush got the winning margin in 2004 is that there were enough moderates who felt this administration would do ANYTHING - even immoral things - to have their way.

Whereas Kerry was thoughtful, decent and honorable, Bushco was seen as an offensive force that would stop at nothing. And in the fear or terrorist attacks, that counted in Bush's favor.

But now more Americans are realizing the high cost of the ugly compromise they made. They abandoned leadership and decency for an illusion of protection.

But will enough Americans realize it to demand change, and to make change in the mid-term elections?

1. I'm certainly praying for it to happen in time for the mid-terms. But then
again, I'm a liberal, so God doesn't really listen to me./sarcasm

2. Change will only come if we make it
In order to make it come we have to constantly show the Bush record and reinforce how reckless it has been. We might have to get really nasty about it, but if that's what it takes so be it.

3. If they rig the election like they did in 2004
...it's not going to matter how people vote, the Rethugs will retain power in Congress. I'd be quite happy to be proved wrong.

4. They didn't win a damned thing. It was stolen with the
godforsaken Diebold machines. The American people aren't that stupid. They stood in line for 10 hours in the pouring rain to try and stop these assholes. Remember?

6. I agree
Watch the PBS documentary "The Architect" on Karl Rove. The first segment is what's important. It shows at 4pm on election day John Kerry was winning 57% to Bush's 43%. Then out of nowhere Bush won. This segment is so telling.

8. The future is that 75 - 80% vote Democrat in 2006 and come out and say so.
Watch the repugs run away from Bush's war next year. No one wants to stand by the Idiot Chimp. Watch the rats flee the sinking imperial float soon.

7. Oh my...Why is this so hard? IT WAS STOLEN!
There was no MISTAKE! No one voted WRONG! It was a complete SHAM! That's why all of these after-the-fact analyzes are such a joke! How can you analyze something that didn't go wrong in the first place? Get real, guys! The election was stolen! (Karl Rove's dastardly underside has been exposed, so do you believe it now?). Fix the machines! The message is fine! We've got to get back to a way to verify the vote or we're never going to win again! Sorry, but it's true!
