For all you lurking media people...
The writing is on the wall and it is plain for all to see. The Boy King you helped to install, is going down. If you have been on the sidelines, keeping your mouth shut to keep your job, now would be the smart time to jump ship. Those in the media who stand in front of the Bu$hco tank now, will be rewarded with respect and credibility when the dust settles. The tipping point is here and you would be wise to give the Neocons the push that will end their pathetic coup.

1. Don't bother telling them. They're Lemmings
and their march to the sea is well under way. I say let them all drown-- perhaps then a new generation of genuine investigative reporters will take over. (I know-- a dim hope, given the current level of gross incompetence and their inbred reluctance to use a fact checker and a spell checker.)

One can hope.

2. it's not the reporters
It's the managers who squash the reporters when they do something honest, and the big money pulling the managers' strings.

3. One must be willing to be censored or silenced
A genuine reporter would find a venue-- in this day and age, all it takes is a willingness to blog. I see no indication of mass blogging by this generation of heads-- talking or writing. The reporters are indeed complicit in the crime of willful misdirection and silence.

5. this is a rather serious issue
The MSM need some immunity from political influence (and also need to be prevented from exerting political influence). "Just the facts, ma'am." etc.

Of course, it's almost impossible to do this objectively, so we're back where we started.

6. A little upward pressure on management...
would be a good thing in itself. Newsies looking to protect their careers must be able to project credibility. That and a pretty face are all they have.
After all, if they are seen as helpful now, they may avoid testifying at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission to come and survive to have honorable careers.
