CNN stands by Rovert Novak
Was this reported here yesterday? Sorry, if it is a dupe.

CNN stands by Robert Novak during CIA leak probe
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) —

Journalist Robert Novak's status as a CNN contributor will remain unaffected during a federal probe into the revelation of a CIA officer's identity, executives at the news channel said Sunday.
CNN says journalist Robert Novak will weather a federal probe storm over his identification of a CIA operative.

"I think we're all aware that no one really knows what's going on in the investigation of the Valerie Plame incident," said Jonathan Klein, president of CNN/U.S. "So it would be awfully presumptuous of us to take steps against a guy in his career based on second, third, fourth-hand reporting."

Klein praised Novak as "one of the most outstanding political reporters this country has ever known."

1. Novak is still walking funny
from the pummeling he got from Frank Zappa all those years ago.

Hopefully Novak's career is in it's last throes.

8. The American Library Association gave Zappa a Freedom
Medal because he spoke out against censorship. Librarians hate censorship.

The Intellectual Freedom and Freedom to Read divisions of the ALA were designated by the Zappa family to receive memorial gifts for Frank Zappa.

Zappa probably coined the phrase Fascist Theocracy. He was way ahead of his time in recognizing what was happening in this country.

2. Right now he's extra good televsion
They lose nothing by keeping him around - and the media hype surrounding his crime might actually increase peoples interest in him.

5. This Is All About The Sizzle
Novakula has always had an undo amount of influence around that network.

Until recently he claimed he was the Executive Producer of both the Crapitol Gang and Crossfire. It was shortly thereafter both shows were cancelled. Hmmm...

Klein's a sleazy weasel. His job is not news, it's ratings and making CNNServative "The News". Stewart's bit last week having Klein describe CNNServative's storm coverage like that of Fear Factor says it all.

Novak as "the story" here. Good chance he's not going to be indicted or stand any of the heat (he truly deserves) in this fiasco...but he's Grand Central Station as to all the players in this drama. His book and TV shots is what CNNServative and Time/Warner are keeping him around for.

4. words before the fall? is he being let out easy?
:)

up until now CNN has not deemed it necessary to make any statements on Robert Rightwing Novak. Why now?

They sat him in our faces on CROSSFIRE, CAPITAL GANG, THE NOVAK REPORT and often in JUDY WOODRUFF'S INSIDE POLITICS...

They didn't care ... our e-mails re: NOVAK went unendingly unanswered. mine did.

So, why now?

6. Novak is a traitor to his Country..........
and if CNN still stands by him, that makes them guilty as well in my book. That one statement tells you all you need to know about CNN!

Sticking up for a traitor is NOT the best way to increase viewership and gain confidence with the American people as a fair and unbiased source of news.

CNN has just outed themselves as FOX Lite. :puke:

10. This, alone, is a reason to BOYCOTT CNN....
Protecting ciminals is not a "value" we should hold, as Americans, nor should it be one we demonstrate to our kids. CNN disgusts me.
