I demand at least 5 daily briefings a week scotty, no slacking. Where were you Thursday and Friday scotty? you wanted this job boy, now git out there and earn your fat salary as a professional liar and treasonous parrot. You've had a free ride and nothing but softballs for quite a stretch, but you hit the wall last week.

will the mean ol' traitorous david gregory and that awful helen thomas be harsh with widdle scotty again this week? will someone challenge his credibility, his integrity, his previous statements again? i await the next scotty roast with baited breath. watching scotty squirm, i love it, i can't get enough of it, it's like a new kind of dope, i'm hooked, the stuttering, the sniveling, the whining,
bring it on!

2. There's nothing on whitehouse.gov about a press conference.
They're usually around 12:30pm EST... I don't know when they post the announcement though.

5. Bush is about due, isn't he? After he promised to do one a month
during the campaign - I'll bet he HATES the person who came up with that idea

7. he's overdue
yeah, he does NOT look forward to the next press conference, that is not his thing. no written speeches, no teleprompter, and now, no softball questions.

6. Brown Stain Removal
I think it's a violation of White House Press Room rules to appear regularly with soiled underware without a change nearby. Turning them inside out is not permitted.

Maybe Snotty's channeling the spirit Ron Zeigler or Roy Cohn.

I suspect we've seen the last of the televised free wheeling sessions. Expect press releases and simple yes and no questions...except for those planted foreign reporters who will bore viewers away.

Cheers...

10. The last one last week reminded me of
the end of a rock concert. I absolutely LOVED the chanting of Rove's name at the end by the reporters. The only thing missing were the lighters being held high in their hands to demand an encore of "Karl Rove".

18. You can get the video on C-Span I am sure
It was a thing of beauty! The reporters were yelling "Karl Rove. Karl Rove. Karl Rove." as Scottie was leaving the stage. Then one of the reporters asked "Is Karl going to be on the Space Shuttle?" I was howling and dancing around the room. My son and his girlfriend were here and thought I had hurt myself. It was a moment not to be missed. As I said, the only thing missing was them holding their lighters in the air for a "Karl Rove" encore.

13. Countdown had an extra 3 seconds of tape of that. One reporter actually
yelled "Is Karl Rove going to be on the spaceship!?"

16. If you remember
a few months ago there was a story about the room where the press conferences are held was going to renovated, I think in August. I wouldn't doubt that those renovation plans will be moved up to...well, to now.

19. If I remember correctly, they closed off their bathroom too
Edited on Mon Jul-18-05 11:57 AM by Sydnie
As I recall, they left one day and they had a toilet and sink. They came back the next day and the toilet had been removed, the pipes plugged and covered, with a chair in it's place. The sink still remained, I believe. They were told that the bathroom was too expensive to repair so they removed it instead.

Any idea where they "go" now?
