what does 314 billion plus 450 billion equal
The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have already cost taxpayers $314 billion, and the Congressional Budget Office projects additional expenses of perhaps $450 billion over the next 10 years.

1. It equals a whole lot of f_cking money
that could have been spent to give our citizens health care; it could have been spent to feed all the hungry children here, and in other nations; it could have been spent on stem cell research and alternative energy sources; it could have been spent on.........

well, I could go on and on but we all know the story.

I'd like to see the bank accounts of the Bushco regime since this administration first took office, until now. We would choke.

2. 314 and 450 equal death and dismemberment, ruined immune

systems, nightmares, dis-association, ruined futures and a very sick economy, plus this countries fall in value and rise in hypocrisy in the eyes of the world.

314 and 450 also equals the cost of exporting democracy according to the law of PNAC and the cabal AND THE SENATORS AND CONGRESSPEOPLE who didn't see this coming; who let themselves be uneducated in spite of the millions of clues that were out there for them to analyze.

3. It's all part of Osama's plan.
He thinks it was he, not Reagan, who brought down the Soviet Union.

He's using the same strategy now. And Bush walked right into the trap.

7. no trap -- osama and the bush family agree.
in fact -- you might even say that misguided osama is helping the people he claims are his enemies.

whatever -- they're all sick.

4. And who are they trying to fool with that 10-year number?
Only $450 billion over the next 10 years - that is, by 2015? The last estimate I saw was that we were spending $5 billion a month in Iraq alone. That's $60 billion a year, and we'd get to $450 billion in a little over 7 years at that rate.

This assumes, naturally, that nothing else bad happens in Iraq that merits the ratcheting up of our military presence in the next 10 years. Anyone want to put up some of their own money, rather than the taxpayers' never-ending cash flow, on that sucker bet?

And the $450 billion figure doesn't take into account one penny of the usual and customary defense budget, which now sucks more than a billion dollars a day, every day, out of the federal coffers.

5. Defense Plant Manager Salary=$120K Iraqi Police Officer Salary = $12K
THAT's WHY THESE RECONSTRUCTION COSTS PALE IN COMPARISON TO THE GARRISON's EXPENSES. THE NEOCON's SPENT OUR TREASURY SURPLUS, AND THEN BORROWED FROM OUR CHILDREN, TO SECURE IRAQ OIL AND MILITARY BASES IN THE MID-EAST, PERIOD.
