The first question was what you saw, while the second was on the Supreme Court Nomination -- the reporter said something to the effect of "Now that you're down to the short list, are you going to discuss it with Congress so you can avoid a confirmation battle?" to which Shrub said, "Wow! Let me behave like a complete asshole in front of the Indian Prime Minister, AND the rest of the world by making 'jokes' about how come YOU KNOW SO MUCH, YOU DISGUSTING LITTLE REPORTER!" This line was met with an almost raucus explosion of laughter by those in the room. I wondered about that - at first it made me happy, because I interpreted it as though Bush was loosing all respect with the Press corps and that they were actually laughing in his face. Then I had second thoughts and wondered if it was an inside joke of Bush belittling the investigation that he believes nothing will come of and that the insiders were laughing WITH him (kind of along the lines of "now where did I put those WMD's" at the press dinner.

So - were they laughing At him, or With him?
