Clearly * and Cheney have known
for a long time now that their two closest staff members informed reporters about Plame. How can we effectively get an answer to, What did * and Cheney know and when did they know it? Your thoughts.

1. there's a firewall between them
they don't ask directly yes or no, their chiefs of staff don't offer.

they'll parse & obfuscate & misdirect. they will never allow an inescapable question. this is what politicians do.

i figure they're looking at jan. 2009 as the finish line of a marathon. just make it there, and bush will issue a blanket pardon for every member of the administration.

then the GOP will begin the hagiography. george w. bush memorial parkways, airports, coinage.

2. known ? ... Known ? .... KNOWN ?
give me a break. They didn't just Know, they are complicit. I have a hard time believing that they did not give the order to take him (Wilson) down.

Cheers

3. Plausible Deniability
The "I didn't know it was happening" game is being set up. This entire operation is based on not having any one set of fingerprints on too much...or finding a convenient distraction or scapegoat to distract.

One person who probably could give you a real good indication of your question is sitting behind bars and thinking she's Joan of Arc. The others could be a prosecutor and judge who see how these evil partisan games went too far and compromised national security...and someone's gonna have to answer for it.

This regime knows it's not a matter if IF an indictment is coming, just WHEN.

Listen to Weasel Mehlmann yesterday when Timmy Russert lobbed the softball (after Mehlmann gave glowing praise about Fitzgerald) if he would cooperate with Fitzgerald if there was an indictment. This scumbag couldn't even say yes! If he can't you can imagine what the others think.

Cheers...

4. Hardly anyone and certainly no supporters give a rat's-ass what they knew
and when they knew it.
