Reporters have known for 2 years that the Administration was lying...
about the war. They have admitted it. Yet, they were megaphones for the Administration in promoting these lies. The people did not know. The press hid it from the people. Now, they say they've known it for two years. Jonathan Alter said it again this morning. How do they excuse their part in these lies that have us now entangled in a war that has no end?

3. My favorite part is their defense, "everyone knew". And exactly how
would people know since YOU NEVER TOLD THEM.

7. Because lies are part of the political process in D.C....
(and everywhere else for that matter) so it was nothing exraordinary. No, in fact, it was business as usual. That it turned into a roasting of journalists is what stirred the nest and initiated the angry buzz. The lying, usually reserved for the idiot's of the general population, suddenly had consequences for the press corpse--so it rose from the dead to haunt poor Scotty McMoonface.

5. Kick
We need to hammer this message. End of discussion on the myth of the liberal media. An unbiased and free press would not have sat on this info throughout the campaign.

They knew Karl Rove was lying about outing Plame too...
but they couldn't start this shit storm until Dimson got re-elected. Could you imagine having the debates and idiot having to defend KKKarl during them?

6. They are accessories to the crime
and they only have the guts to go after the administration when one of their own (Miller) is sitting in jail. They've ignored or have been too damned lazy to do what's right. But, when it comes to one of their own being crucified, they jump right up and start doing what they should have done a long time ago. To hell with 1700 dead American troops and countless dead in Iraq and Afghanistan - we can't let this administration put one of our own in dire straights!!
