The Gutless media proved today they are STILL scared shitless of Bush!
Edited on Mon Jul-18-05 12:50 PM by glarius
For a few days when they were going after Scottie McClellan so ferociously, it looked like they might be finally doing their jobs....But today, watching them with Bush and Prime Minister Singh of India, it's apparent they are still scared shitless of (if you'll pardon the expression) the president....Why didn't one of them ask the only pertinent question...."Mr. President, did you ask Karl Rove if he was the one who leaked Mrs. Wilson's name?"....That's what any president would have done, and Bush could not have dodged the question with the usual crap..."I'm waiting till the investigation is over".....

3. I don't think they are scared.

When Bush said "ongoing investigation" the entire press corps erupted in very loud, in his face, laughter.

11. He tried to pokerface.

...and to some extent he manged it pretty well, not stopping his sentence. But you could detect a little twinge on his face.

They are no longer afraid ...... I saw the laughter too. * looked embarrassed
and pissed. The whole room broke up ..... notice that Puffy McMoon Face did
not use ongoing investigation during his P.C.?

bush and company are going down.

18. and senators who do not want to define themselves on specific votes
sometimes miss the vote roll call.

were gregory and moran forbidden to attend the conference by,
a) bush.
b) their meanstream media outlets.
c) or were they hiding?
d) cleaning up their derrieres?
c) none of the above?

going after mcclellan is an act of bravery which requires no bravery.
going after the goon boy .... well, that is real bravery!

19. very true but since these 2 were important in establishing the tone
of going after scotty/rove/bush then i have no reason to believe they would choose to not continue this. its getting really good and i cant believe they wouldnt want to be part of that

though i certainly dont have the information

good thing helen thomas is still there!

16. Oh I agree on Helen! She's always been like that.
The other guys are afraid of being kicked out if they get too harsh, and they probably would be!

Helen is a fixture in the WH press room. Even though they banished her to the back row, whe still get's in there, and I admire her for that!!!! I doubt even the Shrub admin. wants to be the only admin since JFK to kick Helen out! Even the Pubs like her bacause she doesn't care what party the current admin is from, she beats up on all of them!

15. "Mr pResident....Why are you covering for Rove, are YOU involved too?""
THAT'S the question that needs to be asked.. in a very public way..over and over and over..

No one hesitated a moment to ask Clinton the most personal questions, and harrassed him to a degree never seen before.

No one "waited for the investigation to be discarded by the media over" back then. They drove the damned investigation bus.(at 100mph)
