Background Info:

Michael Moore organized a film festival in Traverse City Michigan, and immediately it came under attack by the Republi-craps. There is a hysterical woman from California who hired some religious / conservative organization to host an "alternate film festival" at the same time as Michael Moore's. The local democrats have worked their butts off to remodel a local theater, and have secured 5 local venues.

Now the Republi-assholes want to blurr the lines and co-opt this effort to imply support for their "Freedom Festival" which has been scheduled for the same week.

Michael Moore is such a wonderful human being that it really gets my hackles up when the republi-snots attack his, and the local Democrats, effort.

I'm obviously well without radius, so I'm not attending either festival.

If people want to organize a counter-festival, I don't have a problem with that. I'm sure Mike will agree. It will be interesting to see which festival draws the biggest crowd.

Still, I find it irritating that they would choose the same days to hold theirs, and to try to insinuate themselves into the event.

It must just be a personal defect that I have.

Michael Moore would have no problem with it. He is way above that sort of thing. Last Friday, he said "where are all these republicans that everyone tells me live here?" I offered to show him a few, and he said "I call those RINO's" Republican In Name Only.
