What the hell was so damn funny about Bush's answer today?
From the press conference...

Q Mr. President, you said you don't want to talk about an ongoing investigation, so I'd like to ask you, regardless of whether a crime was committed, do you still intend to fire anyone found to be involved in the CIA leak case? And are you displeased that Karl Rove told a reporter that Ambassador Joe Wilson's wife worked for the Agency on WMD issues?

PRESIDENT BUSH: We have a serious ongoing investigation here. (Laughter)

So what tickled the reporters funny bone that they should laugh at this jerks feeble attempt to make fun out of an investigation of traitors in his White House.

The thought that over 1700 GI's have died for Bush's lies? 10000 injured? Tens of thousands of Iraqis dead? A CIA resource for WMD destroyed? Or does the press just like being made fun of by Bush?

Just what was so gawddamn funny?

1. Nervous laughter
Happens when someone of such high position starts to self-destruct right in front of their eyes.

4. Because they got the same answer they've been getting from Scotty...
They probably even made a bet amongst themselves that Bush would bring up the "ongoing investigation" in his answer to any question.

9. Yep, that "ding-ding-ding" tote bell goes off in their heads ...
every time he says it (just like it does in mine when I hear it spouted by Scottie, *, "Mr. Ed" Mehlman, et al.).

However much they are pussys they couldn't help but laugh at the brazen, bald absurdity of this retard.

5. I think it's because...
he was stating the obvious and the reporters were thinking something like "fuck yeah it's serious."

6. Knowing that "we" aren't asking any questions. It's all the USA
and Bush is using HIS investigation as an excuse to not care for the time being.

8. I would guess because Bush used the same response that McClellan
used ad infinitum the last few days to the point of being ridiculous. Bush has drawn laughs before (tribal sovereignty?) but it is not because he is trying to be clever. Rather he is showing his ignorance and occasionally the media actually picks up on it but most of the time they shelve it.

10. Beacuse blivet** was channeling McClellan
They thought it was a riot. I did too.

They did the same thing over again and expected different results. They had to laugh at themselves too.

If not, I know all I need to know about Traitorgate--GUILTY and walking free as a bird.

If yes, it's because they all knew Bush was full of crap.
