ABC News Poll: Only 25% Think Bush Is Cooperating With
Edited on Mon Jul-18-05 08:44 PM by ailsagirl
Plame Investigation

Think the focus over the last several weeks on Rove/Plame isn’t a big story and hasn’t hurt the White House?

Think again. According to an ABC News poll done through last night of over a thousand respondents, only 25% of those polled think the Bush White House is cooperating with the investigation, down significantly from before. And 75% of those polled think that Rove should be canned if he revealed classified information.

And for those of you who say this story doesn’t matter to many people, try your spin somewhere else. Three quarters of those polled think the leak investigation is a serious matter, and just over 40% say it is very serious.

Crime sells baby. And that White House/RNC counteroffensive of the last several days has flopped.

5. Yes, but how many think it will actually happen?
Unfortunately never, since Bush will never allow that to happen. I do think, though, that they're surprised at how strong this has all turned out to be; they probably thought it would withstand yet another teflon treatment.

6. That really jumps out, doesn't it?
I think it's been more like 30 years since I've seen Democrats, Republicans and independents that close on a single poll question.

11. Well, well, well...we didn't need CM at all to figure * out, now did we.
CM (corporate media) has rendered itself obsolete. The pulblic was already aware that * is not to be trusted, no thanks to CM. But you know what, CM will think that they did this and beat their breasts when it's all over (and * is on a plane to Saudi Arabia). They will be wrong, they are wrong if they think that their two weeks of actual reporting it had this effect.

Well see if CM ever reports this: A comprehensive explanation of election fraud--text and key links

"give me a break. These flash polls are retarted"

The word is retarDed. If they were re-tarted,
they would have to be soured again.

16. Some serious denial over there
But I'm not surprised. Those who continue to post at FR as this regime slowly collapses in front of their eyes are of course those who are the most committed to their cause and as such have the most to lose. If and when much of this crew is marched to prison, only the most strident supporters will still be hanging on, and their postings will be sheer lunacy.

Just watch.

14. This is just more evidence of the partisan witch hunt.
I just didn't know 75% of the country was Democratic.

17. Yes indeed...
I know Republicans (the old fashioned kind) who are concerned about if Rove did this or not, and how high up it's going to go.

To be honest, any person who cares about their country should be concerned over this.

I would be worried if I were a Republican politician about jumping on a partisan bandwagon right now.

21. We must remind them that America is united against Rove/Bush
This story certainly has legs. 50% voted for Bush in '04, but now 75% don't think he's cooperating, 60% don't think he's honest, 60% don't think we should have gone to Iraq, 75% don't like his social security plan, and on and on down the line. Remind the press that the public is not represented by those liars and deceivers in the RNC. Americans know something is fishy, and they're counting on the press to tell them the whole truth and nothing but in this case.
