Like most internet sites, Democrats are the majority there, as far as I can tell.

5. Immigration is the next big wedge issue.

Both parties are full of politicias who don't want to toughen up immigration policies. Repugs, cause their corporate masters want a cheap labor force, and old-school dems, because they are under the delusion that they get a lot of votes from the hispanic sector, because those pests in the radical left tend to view the issue myopically through nothing but a "human rights" lens, and, also, because their corporate masters want cheap labor.

Whichever party manages to drop the insane support for importing and coddling illegals will win the issue and proceed to beat the other party over the head with it, since concern on this issue is very high with the majority of Americans. As to which party will win the issue, well, the Repugs rely entirely on business and more backwards churches -- losing either one kills them. Dems have a more diverse/robust base of support in this area, but that could work against them as they get complaints from all sides when they make any motion.
