Our village has a new alarm system. (Homeland security?)

Up until yesterday the village alarm sounded like maybe the mating call of a T-Rex which was kinda cool. All the citizens would harken to the call then ignore it. Dogs would make their various sounds of pain in the ears and all the village babies might cry.

But this alarm is different. My first instinct upon hearing the new alarm was to get up slowly and join the crowd walking slowly to the air raid shelter with Weena at my side while chanting "Eat me, eat me."

I hope George saves us from the Morlocks.

It is sad. Sad that we are being prepared for years of terror and talk of terror. The Air raid sound on the new siren will remind us everyday to be fearful. Soon we will have air raid wardens on every block just like the old days.
