And you thought the GTA mod was bad?
While anti-gaming critics are busy worrying about a mod that sees two fictional characters engaging in consensual sex, a neo-Nazi organization has released a game designed to promote racial divisions and encourage violent acts against members of ethnic minorities.

The PC first-person shooter is titled Ethnic Cleansing and is published by Resistance Records, which also distributes racist 'White Power' music. Resistance Records is owned by the National Alliance, the biggest and most active neo-Nazi group in the US.

Players take on the role of either a skinhead or a Ku Klux Klan member - dressed in full KKK robes and carrying a noose - and explore a city that's clearly based on New York. The object of the game is to kill black and Latino people, described as "predatory sub-humans", and their "Jewish masters".

Hadn't seen this anywhere here, hope it's not too old.

1. Have you heard of these new things called "books?"
Apparently they have very nasty things in them. Sex. Bestiality. Racism. Child molestation.

And they sell these things to kids in "book" stores!

4. Lol. Well, if more kids actually *read* books these days,
I imagine there would be a lot more controversy over them. Unfortunately they will only target Harry Potter books, and video games.

Although this particular video game... Ethnic Cleansing. That's fucked up.

5. Oh the HORROR!!!
They sell BOOKS to CHILDREN!?!!
:sarcasm:

The problem I have with the outrage over video games is that they're at very least twice as expensive as any book, which should immediately be enough to allow parents to censor what their kids have, and if you ever tried to suggest censoring books, it'd be an unquestionable first amendment violation.

6. Censoring video games...
is an unquestionable first amendment violation.

Video games commonly run from $20-50 dollars for recently released games.

Same goes for hardback book.

Wait for paperbacks and you're looking at 7-20 bucks. About 20 for second release best seller video games.

Used books and video games of course go for less.

I've never seen a video game over $50 bucks, I've seen plenty of books over that.

3. There's one huge difference here
With GTA, you're talking about a major release from a major studio.

With this trash, you're talking about a completely unknown release from a fringe hate group not even known for making video games.

That said, I don't find censorship to be very valuable either way.
