1. No
Nothing can save him now. It will only make things worse.

Their arrogance knows no bounds.

3. I don't know
This smakes of total desperation - a prime time announcement? Who's gotten that before.

I wonder if the press will be allowed to question our beloved leader?

4. Clearly intentional diversion-- but save him, no. It also makes bush
look guilty of covering up for a traitor.

5. I don't believe distraction is going to work this time.
Especially since reporters have actually printed that * has actually said he is naming the appointment now just to distract us (not his exact words). How stupid is that to say out loud, catapaulting the strategy.

6. I seriously doubt a right wing lunatic that is opposed to 70% of the US
would help deflect generalized criticism from an already troublesome administration. That is if he picks Jones or Luttig.

7. No
This is classic Rove ...... distract and attack.

But it will not work this time and what is up w/ a 9:00 PM announcement?

What Rove & Libby (and ? else Dick I am looking @ you) was treason.

They killed a CIA front company that had taken million of dollars and a long
time to build. It was one of our best sources inside Saudi Arabia.

9. I don't believe it will help Rove. After the initial shock of who he
appoints, people will get angry and turn their attention back to Bush, unless all the polls I've seen that show 68% of Americans do not want Roe vs Wade overturned. It'll look like another poke in the eyes of all Americans, and I think they've had enough of this fraud.

13. Rove's fate is with the federal prosecutor, Fitzgerald
whether or not it's the top story in the news is just a matter of media coverage. That has no impact on the criminal investigation.

15. Maybe he's announcing asap before its too late....
might be his last chance to put his mark on the judicial branch before "all the kings horses and all the kings men" are indicted and unable to put "humpty dumpty back together again."
