monica states that the WTC bombings were an attack on a vital symbol of "our way of life," as the last word in a discussion re: bombing Mecca, suggesting that we are in an enemy-defined holy war, a religious war. in this construction, Islam is clearly defined as one warring faction, even if words are later parsed in a PC attempt to narrow the definition to religious zealots. agreed?
then what is the other warring side: capitalism or Christianity? Christian churches have not been bombed in this nation, unless by internal factions of Americans, who are not Muslim. is this then, a war between Islam and capitalism, as evidenced by the destruction of corporate interests both here and abroad?
unless capitalism is redefined as a religious faith by the current American government, this war is assuredly not a Holy War, but rather a war between a religious faith, however perverted by violence, and an economic theory.
